Privacy Policy
JapanMarketing LLC ("we", "us", or "our") provides the Android and iOS application Reply Five ("the App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle user information in the App.
1. Core Policy
The App uses only information that the user explicitly selects or shares for AI reply generation. Our servers are used mainly for authentication, subscription status, usage limits, abuse prevention, and short-lived authorization for AI use.
Our servers do not store source messages, screenshots, screen OCR results, AI replies, conversation history, clipboard contents, text inside input fields, or edited replies.
2. Information We Process
- Account information: user ID, email address, and authentication status.
- Billing information: subscription status, purchase status, plan, usage limits, and usage counters from App Store or Google Play.
- Device and app information: OS type, app version, device identifier, crash metadata, and error metadata.
- Abuse prevention metadata: rate limits, duplicate use detection, and security audit metadata.
- Tone metadata: hashed contextKey, tone, confidence, appType, updatedAt, and similar metadata that does not include message text.
- Prompt settings explicitly saved by the user: common prompts, app-specific prompts, and contact or channel-specific prompts.
3. Information We Do Not Store
- Source messages, messages from other people, or text inside input fields.
- Screenshots, screen OCR results, or image thumbnails.
- AI replies, edited replies, or conversation history.
- Clipboard contents.
- AI API keys entered by users for BYOK features.
4. AI Provider Processing
When the user generates an AI reply, the text, image, instruction, selected tone, and related information chosen by the user may be sent to AI providers such as Groq for the purpose of generating the reply draft.
If the user uses BYOK (Bring Your Own Key), the user's AI API key is stored in secure storage on the device and is not sent to our servers. AI provider communication is performed using the key configured by the user.
5. Permission Use
Android
- Overlay: to show the Reply Five launch button over other apps.
- Accessibility API: to use on-screen text and input fields for reply generation or insertion assistance based on user action. We do not present Accessibility as a disability-support feature.
- Screen capture: to send the current screen for AI processing only when the user chooses it.
- Notifications: to show service status and provide a stop control.
iOS
- Full Access Keyboard: to perform network communication for AI generation.
- Clipboard: to use text chosen by the user for reply generation.
- Share and Photos: to process text or screenshots explicitly shared by the user.
6. Third-Party Services
- Firebase: authentication, App Check, and mobile app operations.
- Google Cloud: authentication, billing status checks, usage management, AI gateway, and logs.
- Groq: AI reply generation.
- Apple App Store / Google Play: app distribution, in-app purchases, and subscription management.
7. Logs and Security
For troubleshooting, abuse prevention, and usage limit management, we may log metadata such as request ID, user ID, model name, token count, billing decision, error type, and processing time. Logs do not include source text, images, AI replies, or prompt text.
